SAWFB is a community of womxn who campaign to bring about legislative change and seek accountability to eradicate gender inequality in South Africa. SA Women Fight Back offers support to victims and survivors of Gender Based Violence. We offer help through a holistic approach to find safety, justice, empowerment, equality, and healing for all womxn in South Africa.

You Are Not Alone

If you have fallen victim to GBV, let us help you!

S.A. Women Fight Back started off as a Facebook Group, for womxn only, on the 8th of August 2019. Our community grew to roughly 250 000 womxn in a short space of time. We became a safe haven where womxn came to share their stories of abuse, seek help, and to confide in each other.
SAWFB recognized that Gender-Based Violence (GBV), femicide, and human trafficking is a full-blown pandemic. We, the people need to step in, take action and to resolve this shadow pandemic of violence against women and children that is escalating at an alarming rate!

Join us in building networks to provide safe havens for GBV survivors where they can have a voice, share their stories of abuse, trauma, loss, seek help, and confide in each other. Join us to seek resources for GBV survivors ie: legal advice, trauma counseling, and victim support

Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is violence that is directed at an individual based on his or her biological sex OR gender identity. It includes physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, threats, coercion, and economic or educational deprivation, whether occurring in public or private life.”

Too many victims of GBV often suffer in silence, feeling guilty and ashamed , wondering why this has happened to them, and what they could have done to prevent it. This stigma is something that needs to be eradicated from our world! NO victim of GBV is ever asking for it!!

SA Women Fight Back are here to help victims of GBV become Survivors, Warriors..

Our Universal Right is life , Security, Equality and also the right to freedom from discrimination

How to get a Protection Order

A protection order is a court order that tells the abuser to immediately stop the abuse and will typically set certain conditions and rules that stops the abuser from further harassment or abusing the victim again.
A protection order can also prevent the abuser from getting help from a different person to commit abusive acts on the abuser’s behalf.
